Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Curado in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Alfredo Curado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sálvio Ribeiro was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Cesário Abrantes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. ADCR Loreto United FC's Vladimiro Matai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 57th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Alfredo Curado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Alfredo Curado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense.
