After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Mauro Elazar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 13th minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to YeniMalatyaSpor getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Arif Oğuz Ülken hit a great ball. After 17 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. 18 minutes into the game, Mauro Elazar lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Benito Sanz. Jardel Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 41st minute, Mauro Elazar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The YeniMalatyaSpor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. 44 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jardel Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Haşim Hürol kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 46thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Costa Rica's keeper Benito Sanz was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Axel Tasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The wind increased when Mauro Elazar made the kick off in the second half. Haşim Hürol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Elazar in the 60th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Haşim Hürol came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st match minute, YeniMalatyaSpor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nektarios Vrachopoulos to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Elazar came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. YeniMalatyaSpor fully deserved thier win.
