After a rather tough play, ViraLataCaramelo U18's Pedro Paulo Cosme got a free kick in the 21st minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Karlus Waugh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jamaica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karlus Waugh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Finlay Stair stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Finlay Stair sped through ViraLataCaramelo U18's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eliseu Chaves. Demonde Jacobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Guerra in the 57th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Augusto Messias got free with Demonde Jacobson in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Paulo Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Demonde Jacobson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dinei Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the ViraLataCaramelo U18 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinei Guerra couldn't finish the play. Jamaica's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
