Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gedaithen Czomolungma's Ashley Milburn. Ashley Milburn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wasyl Milko in the 45th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wasyl Milko to make the kick off. Adam Huratiak charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Ashley Milburn in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Wasyl Milko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Wasyl Milko hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, Gedaithen Czomolungma's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ashley Milburn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
