Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severo Duro went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Severo Duro made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. With his leg Emilio Haro managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The shot was a little too simple and Emilio Haro could save by the left post. 63 minutes into the game, Luis Andino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emilio Haro. Luis Andino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emilio Haro having to make a save. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ecuador booed when POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rioja Franco didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Cristian Sancho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Emilio Haro in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
