Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Julian Murillo made the kick off and thus started the match. The throw-in from Billy Fristedt in the 2nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. In the 10th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Lindström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Surahammar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Fristedt to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 13 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Lindström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Santxol. After 23 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Victor Santxol who took care of the corner kick. In the 28th minute Surahammar were awarded a corner. Victor Santxol went to the cornerflag to take it. 29 minutes into the match, Surahammar's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Jan Lindström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radamel Oakley in the 31st minute of the match. The supporters of Peru booed when Surahammar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xiao Yan Jian didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Eliseo Mina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Lindström. Surahammar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseo Mina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 39th minute of the match Luz Tejedor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan Lindström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Surahammar's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Lindström came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radamel Oakley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute of the match Surahammar got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Victor Santxol ran over to the corner to take the kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Santxol to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Surahammar's Markus Wallman got a free kick in the 54th minute. A throw-in in the 58th minute of the game was made by Emmanuel Reyes with Luz Tejedor as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Jan Lindström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 74th minute of play. After 76 minutes, Julian Murillo made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Surahammar's Jan Lindström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 81 minutes into the game, André Pettersson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. In the 88th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Surahammar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eliseo Mina ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Pettersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Peru's Eliseo Mina ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jan Lindström. Jan Lindström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Jan Lindström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Gallo in the 95th minute.
