Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 3 minutes, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Tasis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. In the 11th minute of the match, Axel Tasis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alberto Di Placido was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 12th minute Ercole Marcon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atletico Van Goof were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexander Tomasso took the corner. Ercole Marcon took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Atletico Van Goof booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Alexander Tomasso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Van Goof's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Tomasso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Atletico Van Goof's Ercole Marcon in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. In the 35th minute Ercole Marcon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. After 39 played minutes, Atletico Van Goof's Alexander Tomasso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atletico Van Goof reached it. If Ercole Marcon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Atletico Van Goof were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ercole Marcon to strike the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 55th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. After 58 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Di Placido was left in no man's land by his defense there! Safy Belfaa struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Van Goof. Atletico Van Goof's Alberto Di Placido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 70th minute of play. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Ercole Marcon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 1-2. 78 minutes into the match, Lautaro Puig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberto Di Placido. Atletico Van Goof's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Puig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 82ndth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico Van Goof's Alberto Di Placido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aaron Alcocer charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aaron Alcocer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Felice Piano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Lautaro Puig left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Safy Belfaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
