Centeno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Berganza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The supporters of Panama booed when Centeno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Azeari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Centeno's Benigno Gabrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 21st minute of play. Benigno Gabrio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 22nd minute of the match. Benigno Gabrio made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Isidoro Sarmiento sent off a good shot on target. The Centeno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benigno Gabrio should have stopped the shot. Centeno's Benigno Gabrio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Centeno from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute, Panama's Miguel Miralles ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benigno Gabrio. Benigno Gabrio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Centeno's Benigno Gabrio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Centeno from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 6-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Centeno's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Benigno Gabrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Centeno's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. 89 minutes into the match, Centeno's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Benigno Gabrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
