After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karol Panasewicz in the 54th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Karol Panasewicz put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. In the 64th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Sharma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Robin Sharma made a huge save. Blue Mountain State made a substitution. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Blue Mountain State were victorious despite being under pressure from Peru for much of the match.
