Luz Tejedor didn't quite understand what happened when in the 23 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Ziemowit Gdowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa.
