After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Luz Tejedor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Emilio Shepherd quite easily take care of the ball. In the 18th match minute, KN ZGORZELEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilbert Gotfryd to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, KN ZGORZELEC's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Emilio Shepherd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. KN ZGORZELEC's Anthimos Ntounias managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alonso Berganza in the 31 minute of the game. Emilio Shepherd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luz Tejedor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wessel Bos in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emilio Shepherd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 40th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Mariusz Kaleta could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Rolando Noboa however easily saved by the left post. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Emilio Shepherd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Emilio Shepherd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 53rd minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, KN ZGORZELEC's Wessel Bos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Emilio Shepherd made a huge save. In the 67th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Shepherd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Wessel Bos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Moises Gayoso charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moises Gayoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emilio Shepherd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 76th minute of the match. Emilio Shepherd stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. The throw-in from Anthimos Ntounias in the 82nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Emilio Shepherd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 83rd minute of the match. Emilio Shepherd made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Milagros Fraga sent off a good shot on target. Anthimos Ntounias kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Emilio Shepherd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
