Felix Martinsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felix Martinsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, LA VIOLA's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Felix Martinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Martinsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Rutledge in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 24th minute of play forced LA VIOLA's goalkeeper Felix Martinsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Martinsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by LA VIOLA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind LA VIOLA's goalkeeper Felix Martinsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Lorenzo Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute of the game Macos Graciani made a throw-in which Joel Gaona played forward. Felix Martinsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Felix Martinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 45th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Felix Martinsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Lautaro Mancebos short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Felix Martinsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Martinsson having to interfere. After a rather tough play, LA VIOLA's Albert Rutledge got a free kick in the 58th minute. After 64 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felix Martinsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind LA VIOLA's goalkeeper Felix Martinsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 80th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Felix Martinsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Felix Martinsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Felix Martinsson made a huge save. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
