After a rather tough play, Predators's Zbyszko Glembin got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 7thth minute of the game Çakır Baycan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Semir Jakubović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Predators's Semir Jakubović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the Predators defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Semir Jakubović. The Predators fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Semir Jakubović should have stopped the shot. Semir Jakubović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Çakır Baycan in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Çakır Baycan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyryl Bojanowski in the 52nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute Predators were awarded a corner. Cyryl Bojanowski went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 54th minute, Predators's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Felix Montenegro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Predators's Çakır Baycan. But to his dismay, Çakır Baycan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Walker Bird shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Semir Jakubović made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Çakır Baycan in the 73rd minute of play. Predators were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cyryl Bojanowski took the corner. 80 minutes into the match, Predators's goalkeeper Semir Jakubović had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Predators's Semir Jakubović proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Predators from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Semir Jakubović to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daniel Zorita did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Semir Jakubović 91 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristian Sancho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Predators throughout the match.
