After having played for 48 minutes, Göksel Taşdan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puianello FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Göksel Taşdan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Peru were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. A collision led to Puianello FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Sándor Bodnár hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Luz Tejedor sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Puianello FC's Darrel Pennington didn't even have to move. Peru's Luz Tejedor got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Puianello FC's Antonello De Feo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Moises Gayoso in the 63 minute of the game. With a little luck, Puianello FC's Darrel Pennington got control of the ball when Luz Tejedor tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Puianello FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Esposito to maneuver through the defense. Milagros Fraga took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Darrel Pennington. Darrel Pennington dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
