Facundo Cadaval hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Yu Xi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Dante Lacasa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Arif Bilge Tokyürek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arif Bilge Tokyürek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arif Bilge Tokyürek. H E P T A N FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.
