Vachon Camaño was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juan Sebastián Puig was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 36 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Vachon Camaño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vachon Camaño was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Sidoro Romeu kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Piearres Somiedo made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Buceo's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vachon Camaño came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute Jaizki Colina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sporting Buceo's Jaizki Colina, in the 82nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Buceo. In the 94th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piearres Somiedo in the 96th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
