Ernesto Iaki was extremely unlucky when he, in the 22nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 24th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickard Bäckman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alberto Tafalla scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rickard Bäckman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute of the match, Sten Gunnarsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ernesto Iaki showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 35 minute of play. Rickard Bäckman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 39th minute of the match. After the first half Mexico were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Morre BK made a substitution. 姚正延 replaced Albin Östman. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto Iaki made a kick off. After 54 minutes of play, Morre BK's Sten Gunnarsson made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Rickard Bäckman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Iaki, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Rickard Bäckman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 65th minute. Rickard Bäckman was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Lautaro Mancebo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lautaro Mancebo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. 68 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rickard Bäckman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. After a rather tough play, Morre BK's 姚正延 got a free kick in the 78th minute. Rickard Bäckman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rickard Bäckman having to interfere. The supporters of Mexico booed when Morre BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Caspersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Iaki in the 97th minute of the match. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
