In the 4th minute, Millard Mitchell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trond Soltveit in the 10th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC Pladask was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karsten Ludvigsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Grønningsæter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Grønningsæter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 17th minute of the match. Daniel Grønningsæter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Daniel Grønningsæter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Giovanni Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After 30 played minutes FC Pladask got a freekick which was hit by Aksel Røyrvik. Daniel Grønningsæter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Grønningsæter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Trond Soltveit to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Trond Soltveit got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Trond Soltveit made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Trond Soltveit struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Pladask. In the 74th minute Karsten Ludvigsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when James Feldthaus came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Costa did an outstanding performance 89 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 3-2 to the right of an irritated Daniel Grønningsæter in the goal. 96 minutes into the match, FC Pladask's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Daniel Grønningsæter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Pladask had won after a very even match.
