Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Erasmo Simão made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falcão Sampaio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Falcão Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Sampaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Froilan Calvino hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 13 played minutes Daniel Zorita shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio to catch but Daniel Zorita was lucky. It became 0-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. 16 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Falcão Sampaio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to Grentino FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Amadeu de Alcântara hit a great ball. Erasmo Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amadeu de Alcântara's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeu de Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. Amadeu de Alcântara hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Grentino FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Falcão Sampaio came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Falcão Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Gualter Sampaio made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Gualter Sampaio might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gualter Sampaio ran back to his position shaking his head. The Grentino FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Falcão Sampaio. Felix Montenegro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Falcão Sampaio made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Falcão Sampaio in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Grentino FC's Erasmo Simão. But to his dismay, Erasmo Simão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. With a little luck, Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 68th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Grentino FC. Erasmo Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Grentino FC from getting a goal against them. 75 minutes into the match, Grentino FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Falcão Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gualter Sampaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Falcão Sampaio having to make a save. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Falcão Sampaio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Falcão Sampaio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Falcão Sampaio was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Cristian Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Grentino FC from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Grentino FC throughout the match.
