Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Noel Abraham got the match started through his kick off. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Joakim Brandin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Epifanio Iratzeder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Artetas artilleri getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Valter Siöman hit a great ball. Noel Abrahams short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 31 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Epifanio Iratzeder was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Ronconi during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Epifanio Iratzeder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Julio Vera was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Valter Siöman. In the 47th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Abraham in the 56th minute of play. Artetas artilleri's Noel Abraham got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 60 minutes, Leon Russel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Artetas artilleri and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th minute, Leon Russel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Epifanio Iratzeder successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 72nd minute. Epifanio Iratzeder was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 75 minute of play. After 80 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Valter Siöman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 83rd minute Noel Abraham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 86 played minutes, Artetas artilleri's Viggo Sjöberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Artetas artilleri reached it. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Abraham in the 88th minute of play. Artetas artilleri's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valter Siöman in the 89th minute. Artetas artilleri's Valter Siöman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Brandin in the 94th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Artetas artilleri fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
