After a rather tough play, Mexico's Felix Luque got a free kick in the 20th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Copil in the 21st minute of play. Iosif Puric took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Joel Gaona fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Iosif Puric, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Iosif Puric in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Manchester United's Iosif Puric got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Copil in the 43rd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivan Copil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iosif Puric saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Macos Graciani hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Orestis Massoutis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. 60 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Iosif Puric reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iosif Puric showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 65th minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manchester United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Kosmas Simertzidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kosmas Simertzidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erwin-Alexander Verduyckt in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Iosif Puric reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iosif Puric took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Copil's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dante Lacasa firmly grabbed it by the left post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Manchester United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mexico.
