Samuel Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 7 minutes into the match, La Società Sport Osasco's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Samuel Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emil Wincek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Samuel Santos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Emil Wincek managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Società Sport Osasco's supporters rose to their feet, but Emil Wincek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Samuel Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when La Società Sport Osasco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. The La Società Sport Osasco players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Samuel Santos firmly grabbed it by the left post. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Samuel Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the game, Primitivo Andino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Società Sport Osasco the free kick. 91 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gilvan Maranhense came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilvan Maranhense in the 95th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
