A collision led to Mercado Paulista F.C getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Fausto Fernanco hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Cristian Eduino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergio Burni's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sergio Burni helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Mercado Paulista F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Burni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristian Eduino. Cristian Eduino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Cristian Eduino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of the match. A collision led to Mercado Paulista F.C getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Diego Vargas hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Mercado Paulista F.C defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Eduino. The Mercado Paulista F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Eduino should have stopped the shot. Cristian Eduino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mercado Paulista F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 18 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Cristian Eduino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristian Eduino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mercado Paulista F.C's goalkeeper Cristian Eduino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Eduino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Eduino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Cristian Eduino came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Agustín Saelices. But to his dismay, Agustín Saelices quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Cristian Eduino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 37th minute of play. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Cristian Eduino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristian Eduino. Cristian Eduino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Eduino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. After having played for 54 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Cristian Eduino in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Felix Montenegro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristian Eduino. That made the score 0-8 in the 59 minute of play. Cristian Eduino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 62 minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-11, to the right of Mercado Paulista F.C's Cristian Eduino. Cristian Eduino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Mercado Paulista F.C booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto Fernanco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mercado Paulista F.C's Sergio Burni got his second yellow card of the match in the 73rd minute. The referee ordered Sergio Burni off the ground. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Eduino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Cristian Eduino in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mercado Paulista F.C's goalkeeper Cristian Eduino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Mercado Paulista F.C's Cristian Eduino got control of the ball when Luis Andino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felix Montes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Eduino having to interfere. Cristian Eduino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cristian Eduino firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Cristian Eduino made a huge save. Ecuador played a much better game than Mercado Paulista F.C and deserved their victory. The Mercado Paulista F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
