An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 31st minute of play forced S.S.C. NAPOLI's goalkeeper Achille Albanesi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Achille Albanesi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fulvio Muzzolon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Rolando Noboa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 37 minutes into the match, S.S.C. NAPOLI's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Achille Albanesi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Martin Österlund threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulvio Muzzolon in the 59th minute of the match. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Achille Albanesi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 71st minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, S.S.C. NAPOLI's goalkeeper Achille Albanesi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. If Ciccio Bassani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru's Rafael Gallo got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Gallo in the 91st minute of play forced S.S.C. NAPOLI's goalkeeper Achille Albanesi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When S.S.C.
