An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Salazar in the 40th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 43 minutes on the clock, Liu Gang Jian commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cadáveres Voladores fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Ecuador. Xavier Salazar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ye Yan Yu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ye Yan Yu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Salazar in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Salazar in the 90th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Birger Ståhlman in the 93rd minute. There was no doubt that Ecuador were the better team.
