Daniel Zorita scored 2-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Douglas Fowler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 24 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Douglas Fowler was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, FC Pladask's Douglas Fowler got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan-Kenneth Øglænd stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tord Kaur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Douglas Fowler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 57th minute of play. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Douglas Fowler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 61st minute of play forced FC Pladask's goalkeeper Douglas Fowler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 65th minute Tord Kaur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Douglas Fowler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 67th minute of the match. FC Pladask made a substitution. Amund Gjerstad replaced Erik Bratli. Douglas Fowler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 78th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Fowler was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game.
