Primo Speranza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 40th minute of play forced Academia 1903's goalkeeper Primo Speranza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primo Speranza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Peru's Luz Tejedor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Primo Speranza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Matthäus in the 56th minute of the match. Academia 1903's Primo Speranza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 58th minute of play. Primo Speranza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luz Tejedor in the 64th minute. In the 91stth minute of the game Timoteo Columbo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Academia 1903's Primo Speranza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Gallo in the 95th minute of play. Primo Speranza came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Rafael Gallo. But to his dismay, Rafael Gallo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Peru played a much better game than Academia 1903 and deserved their victory. The Academia 1903 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
