The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The goalkeeper, Dorian de Lima, was totally fooled by Bolivia's Mario Fernandino, who 87 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Alfonso de la Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dorian de Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bolivia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
