Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iosif Puric read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Iosif Puric took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Alan Tamayo. 36 minutes into the game, Ivan Copil recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thiago Pliego. Ivan Copil showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 40 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Iosif Puric reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iosif Puric breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivan Copil to make the kick off. Iosif Puric made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Kosmas Simertzidis came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iosif Puric made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 60th minute. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Orlando Casaus hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kosmas Simertzidis in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kosmas Simertzidis's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iosif Puric. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Copil in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Chile's Mariano Lacasa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iosif Puric. Iosif Puric yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivan Copil went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Mariano Lacasa scored 3-3 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iosif Puric, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th minute, Ivan Copil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Manchester United had won after a very even match.
