After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the game, Roman Trzenzalski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Roman Trzenzalski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. A well-hit corner resulted in Luis Andino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Cristian Sancho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 86th playminute. A collision led to Fluet FK getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After a defensive mix-up in Fluet FK's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nils-Erik Soned came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
