The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mohamed Basso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Capibaribe Stars's Thomás Toscano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Capibaribe Stars from getting a goal against them. Eliseo Mina was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 87th minute. Peru's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With an all-out effort, Peru's Thomás Toscano threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eliseo Mina, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliseo Mina during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Eliseo Mina hit a great ball. Peru were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
