Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Örjan Bengtsson hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Nils-Erik Soned showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 34th minute of the match. Tony Skager made in the 39th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. Matthias Ahlrot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half.
