Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tomas Berganza made the kick off which started today's match. Tomas Berganza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Vinicio Collado made a huge save. In the 5th minute, Matthew Garrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Astillero del Guayas from getting a goal against them. After having played for 16 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abraham Alguacil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Vinicio Collado made a huge save. After 23 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Corozo Nevares. After some careless play in the Astillero del Guayas defense, Abraham Alguacil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vinicio Collado. The Astillero del Guayas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vinicio Collado should have stopped the shot. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. 32 minutes into the game, Diego Carredano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astillero del Guayas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. When Corozo Nevares fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Astillero del Guayas's protests and gave Corozo Nevares a yellow card for diving instead. Corozo Nevares hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Panama were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Astillero del Guayas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Alguacil took the corner. Abraham Alguacil made a great header on Panama's corner, it was just that Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Panama booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zaquiel Boñar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vinicio Collado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matthew Garrido in the 47th minute.

Vinicio Collado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 56th minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Vinicio Collado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Berganza scored 2-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vinicio Collado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zaquiel Boñar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 64 minutes, Lastra Trilla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Astillero del Guayas and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 65th minute of play. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Vinicio Collado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corozo Nevares hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zaquiel Boñar in the 74th minute. Vinicio Collado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Vinicio Collado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute of the match Zuberoa Sanguino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Cotilla skillfully saved the ball. Abraham Alguacil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vinicio Collado having to make a save. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panama walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
