The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vyacheslav Korolev during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mexico booed when Delphine Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vyacheslav Korolev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosme Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 11th minute of the game was made by Vyacheslav Korolev with Kunnar Väärtnõu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Kornecki having to interfere. Fabian Kornecki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 20th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Delphine Stars's Fabian Kornecki. Fabian Kornecki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Fabian Kornecki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Gogu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabian Kornecki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Gaona's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Mexico's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Liviu Gogu scored to the left of an out of position Dante Lacasa, making the score, 2-1. 42 minutes into the game, Luca Zorita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Delphine Stars the free kick. Luca Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Cosme Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Cosme Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Delphine Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Fabian Kornecki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabian Kornecki. Lautaro Mancebo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Facundo Cadaval got free with Fabian Kornecki in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Delphine Stars's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Luca Rouco kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Fabian Kornecki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Fabian Kornecki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 77th minute of the match. After 78 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. In the 80th minute, Cosme Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the match, Delphine Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Fabian Kornecki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Mexico booed when Delphine Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kajetan Gondek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Gaona was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Mexico's Luca Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
