Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Diego Carredano made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the game, Efrain Meruelo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astillero del Guayas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Efrain Meruelo got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Vinicio Collado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lastra Trilla hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Francisco Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vinicio Collado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Zuberoa Sanguino was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, one of Astillero del Guayas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Astillero del Guayas. Astillero del Guayas:s Vinicio Collado showed great skill when he stopped Jaime Cazalla:s penalty. Vinicio Collado came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla. But to his dismay, Jaime Cazalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After having played for 23 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Escribano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Astillero del Guayas were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Uzuri Lojo took the corner. The corner ended in Uzuri Lojo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso did a great save. 34 minutes into the match, Zaquiel Boñar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zaquiel Boñar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Astillero del Guayas from getting a goal against them. When Maximiliano Escribano came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Escribano couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vinicio Collado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Francisco Seco fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vinicio Collado, passed just outside the right post. 47 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco lined in a short shot 3-1 behind a frustrated Vinicio Collado. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vinicio Collado was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinicio Collado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 62nd minute of play. Vinicio Collado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute, Francisco Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 70th minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Vinicio Collado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vinicio Collado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Vinicio Collado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Collado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Astillero del Guayas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Jaime Cazalla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vinicio Collado quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. The throw-in from Rodney Cosca in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. In the 90th match minute, Astillero del Guayas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Meruelo to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Seco took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vinicio Collado. Vinicio Collado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Uruguay had played much better football throughout.
