Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Demetrio Colelli to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Aaron Barrios recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Comunardo Andreola. Aaron Barrios showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Comunardo Andreola to make any attempt to save it. Panama's Miguel Miralles got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Comunardo Andreola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Cambeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The supporters of Panama booed when AC Civetta Notturna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Zaccardi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the AC Civetta Notturna defense, Isidoro Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Comunardo Andreola.
