When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. In the 57th minute, Toninho Guerreiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SiTomanBoy´s's Cassiano Novais was substituted for Francisco Ignacio Hanssen. If Edward Mcdonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Hernán Torrejón made a precise shot to the right of Marco Day. USA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. James Novak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The USA fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when USA's Sam Campbell looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
