The referee showed Serafino Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Honduras booed when Pirquitas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pirquitas's zone, Sebastian Villa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Txindoki came out of the goal and Sebastian Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Moises Tafalla. Guaberto Arixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Pirquitas's Serafino Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Baldomero Txindoki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Esteban Carvallo got his second yellow card in the match during the 36th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 37 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Carvallo. Serafino Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere.

Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Baldomero Txindoki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafino Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pirquitas's Baldomero Txindoki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Pirquitas from getting a goal against them. Ezequiel Crispo got a throw-in 70 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Celedonio Amor. Laureano Corderall made in the 78th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Guaberto Arixo however managed to control. Modesto Burni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. In the 83rd minute of the game Ezequiel Crispo made a throw-in which Celedonio Amor played forward. Honduras's attentive Edmundo Espiga managed to snatch the ball when Ezequiel Crispo made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Modesto Burni during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Modesto Burni kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Honduras left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pirquitas.
