An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 17th minute of play forced Delphine Stars's goalkeeper Fabian Kornecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vyacheslav Korolev, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Liviu Gogu sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 21st minute of play forced Delphine Stars's goalkeeper Fabian Kornecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Luca Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Liviu Gogu to make the kick off. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Fabian Kornecki made a huge save. After 54 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. Vyacheslav Korolev might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vyacheslav Korolev ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Joel Gaona kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fabian Kornecki. That made the score 1-2 in the 59 minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabian Kornecki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Delphine Stars's Fabian Kornecki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fabian Kornecki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Delphine Stars's Fabian Kornecki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Delphine Stars from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vyacheslav Korolev in the 77th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Fabian Kornecki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cosme Damario fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Delphine Stars's protests and gave Cosme Damario a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mexico booed when Delphine Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosme Damario didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Delphine Stars's Fabian Kornecki got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line.
