Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Serafino Azevedo made the kick off and thus started the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafino Azevedo in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pirquitas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Celedonio Amor in the 6th minute. A nice corner shot did that Celedonio Amor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benito Sanz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 8 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. Celedonio Amor was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 9th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 13th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Arixo in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Arixo in the 16th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Tasis kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After 19 played minutes, Pirquitas's Celedonio Amor shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pirquitas reached it. 20 minutes into the game, Serafino Azevedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Burni in the 27th minute of play. Juan Rubio lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Pirquitas a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Celedonio Amor, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. 0-3. After 48 minutes, Aaron Alcocer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Pirquitas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 48th minute. After the first half Pirquitas were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Baldomero Txindoki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Baldomero Txindoki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafino Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Tasis's late challenge caught a Pirquitas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Axel Tasis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Guaberto Arixo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-4. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafino Azevedo in the 75th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Pirquitas's Serafino Azevedo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guaberto Arixo in the 89th minute. Eliseo Noboa took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baldomero Txindoki. Baldomero Txindoki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Benito Sanz stood somewhat misplaced when Serafino Azevedo came free in front of goal and shot 1-7 to the left of him in the 95 minute. When the match was over Pirquitas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
