But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 14th minute. Ian Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Ian Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. Ian Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ian Brasil. Ian Brasil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Ian Brasil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Ian Brasil came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Montenegro in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ian Brasil saved ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ from getting behind. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Felix Montenegro sped through ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ian Brasil. Ian Brasil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Prestes to make the kick off. With his leg Ian Brasil managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ian Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 minutes, Luis Andino made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Ian Brasil tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 62 minutes into the match, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s goalkeeper Ian Brasil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. In the 63rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-9 in the 75th playminute. Daniel Zorita had several of the ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 78 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-10 score and a disappointed Ian Brasil as he didn't even see the shot coming. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Ian Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 83rd minute of play. When Cristian Sancho, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 84 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ian Brasil was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 86 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-11. Ian Brasil was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 93rd minute of play forced ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s goalkeeper Ian Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ian Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
