Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Frédson Melo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Catalin Haldan's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olavi Liib came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 5th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frédson Melo in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Catalin Haldan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marin Petre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cirilo Romo took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Catalin Haldan's Olavi Liib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 31st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Živko Dabović. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frédson Melo in the 41st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Catalin Haldan booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Secada didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Živko Dabović notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Catalin Haldan's Radu Covrig got a free kick in the 77th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Valder Gausbo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valder Gausbo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Radu Covrig made in the 86th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Eugen Morozan however managed to control. After 88 played minutes Catalin Haldan got a freekick which was hit by Radu Covrig. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Romo, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Catalin Haldan had played much better football throughout.
