Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Aquiles Gana started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience was convinced that Aquiles Gana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Emanuele Curti in the 10 minute of the game. Dražen Ladić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Gana in the 17th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Emanuele Curti in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 20th minute of play forced AC Morena's goalkeeper Dražen Ladić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to AC Morena getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ciccio Di Loreto hit a great ball. In the 21st minute of the match Luz Tejedor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dražen Ladić showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dražen Ladić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Dražen Ladić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 29th minute of play. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by AC Morena's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Peru's Luz Tejedor to fire away a dangerous shot which Dražen Ladić despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Aquiles Ganas short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Rolando Noboa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Luz Tejedor kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

55 minutes into the match, Aquiles Gana notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Fonseca in the 59th minute of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquiles Gana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Álvaro Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After 63 played minutes AC Morena got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Mangúrov. In the 66th minute, Luz Tejedor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aquiles Gana scored 2-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The throw-in from Emanuele Curti in the 77th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 82nd minute of play forced AC Morena's goalkeeper Dražen Ladić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dražen Ladić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Fonseca came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciccio Di Loreto hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After 90 played minutes AC Morena got a freekick which was hit by Ciccio Di Loreto. The supporters of AC Morena booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Prats didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Efraim Gilabert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jerzy Piwowarski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Peru's Rafael Gallo got a free kick in the 95th minute.
