Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Villa La Perla's goalkeeper Adan Bembe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Omar Polentzi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Adan Bembe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adan Bembe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Villa La Perla's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Adan Bembe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Adan Bembe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute of play forced Villa La Perla's goalkeeper Adan Bembe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Amador James made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Adan Bembe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When Benedicto Medina came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Villa La Perla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedicto Medina couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nemesio Tuste made a kick off. With a little luck, Villa La Perla's Adan Bembe got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Villa La Perla getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Nemesio Tuste hit a great ball. In the 61st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Bembe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adan Bembe made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adan Bembe came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 64th minute. The supporters of Villa La Perla booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfonso Goyo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 70 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Villa La Perla:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. Adan Bembe had in the 72ndth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adan Bembe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After a rather tough play, Villa La Perla's Delmar Machado got a free kick in the 75th minute. Adan Bembe acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 76th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Daniel Zorita. Villa La Perla's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Adan Bembe, making the score, 2-4. After a rather tough play, Villa La Perla's Delmar Machado got a free kick in the 89th minute. Adan Bembe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adan Bembe came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. The Villa La Perla fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
