Tibo Cromefeldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Matias Colebrants quite easily take care of the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute, Leo Engelborgh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Lou Cromefeldt made the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Tibo Cromefeldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 53rd minute, Tibo Cromefeldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Matias Colebrants made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 57th minute. Dimitri Wijnrijx's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dimitri Wijnrijx helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 60th minute of play forced Fc Rossem's goalkeeper Matias Colebrants to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matias Colebrants breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Fc Rossem's Dimitri Wijnrijx got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Colebrants having to interfere. Camilo Gisbert charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Gisbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Fc Rossem booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tibo Cromefeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Fc Rossem's Matias Colebrants got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
