After recieving a nice pass, Panama's Abraham Alguacil tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18thth minute of the game Henry Alebäck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casper Kleen having to interfere. Casper Kleen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Henry Alebäck tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 25 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Sarmiento. A collision led to Mean Machine getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Stig-Arne Wallin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 30th minute of play forced Mean Machine's goalkeeper Casper Kleen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmund Holmgren kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Casper Kleen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mean Machine's Casper Kleen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Cambeiro in the 41st minute of play. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Panama's Marcos Cotilla to catch but Mattias Willig was lucky. It became 1-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Casper Kleen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 47th minute of play.

The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. Abraham Alguacil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Casper Kleen made a huge save. In the 54th minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. Isidoro Sarmiento made a great header on Panama's corner, it was just that Mean Machine's Casper Kleen managed to reach the ball for a save. Mean Machine made a substitution. Rune Anselius replaced Torsten Berglund. After a rather tough play, Panama's Aaron Barrios got a free kick in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Casper Kleen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Isidoro Sarmiento scored 1-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casper Kleen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 90 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Sarmiento. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henry Alebäck in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Cotilla saved Panama from getting behind. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Ove Kämpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
