After a defensive mix-up in FC Puma Białystok's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Byström came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christian Byström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikolaj Pietrasz got free with Julio Vera in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to FC Puma Białystok getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Jan Plaski hit a great ball. After 38 played minutes FC Puma Białystok got a freekick which was hit by Fryderyk Bochinski. 39 minutes into the match, FC Puma Białystok's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Christian Byström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 played minutes FC Puma Białystok got a freekick which was hit by Fryderyk Bochinski. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Christian Byström. Felix Montenegro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd match minute, FC Puma Białystok was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Plaski to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 63rd minute of play forced FC Puma Białystok's goalkeeper Christian Byström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Christian Byström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Byström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 74th minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Byström having to interfere. After having played for 83 minutes, Vincent Welch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Puma Białystok's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vincent Welch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mikolaj Pietrasz went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Christian Byström in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
