After 7 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richmond De Worteleere was left in no man's land by his defense there! The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to Marciano Valente. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseo Frances in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Richmond De Worteleere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after AC 1986 Vinalito's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Richmond De Worteleere despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Eliseo Frances did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Julio Vera 21 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the match, AC 1986 Vinalito's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Richmond De Worteleere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raimundo Guerau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Richmond De Worteleere made a huge save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Frances in the 57th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Daniel Zorita fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. AC 1986 Vinalito's Artemio Matthew was substituted for Pichit Mercier. AC 1986 Vinalito's Severo Argi was substituted for Marcin Wietrzychowski. In the 73rd minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richmond De Worteleere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 75th minute of the match. AC 1986 Vinalito's Richmond De Worteleere proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save AC 1986 Vinalito from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. AC 1986 Vinalito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. In the 84th minute, Bruno Abeita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC 1986 Vinalito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
