Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Librado, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Bruno Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Librado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Baudelio hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Honorio Arnas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Equipo fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Equipo's Omar Librado looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 21 minutes of play, Equipo's Omar Librado made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Barrett was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Oriol in the 26th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Omar Librado put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Barrett. The supporters of Curacao booed when Equipo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Baudelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stanley Wallace could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Orlando Leoiar made a huge save. Omar Librado struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Bruno Barrett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Equipo. Omar Librado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Barrett having to make a save. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Librado in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

If Omar Librado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Librado in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Barrett saved Curacao from getting behind. In the 61st minute Equipo were awarded a corner. Amadeo Iratze went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Amadeo Iratze got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bruno Barrett quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Curacao booed when Equipo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Matxin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Curacao's Bertie Johnson got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 81st match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rocco Owen to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melchor Igon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Curacao's zone, Omar Librado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Barrett came out of the goal and Omar Librado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruno Barrett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Omar Librado in the 85th minute. Bertie Johnson was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 90 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Bertie Johnson. Bruno Barrett was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Omar Librado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Omar Librado really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. If Melchor Igon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Equipo played a much better game than Curacao and deserved their victory. The Curacao players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
