Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Inazuma Japan's Antônio Aguiar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Antônio Aguiar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla, 1-0. Zé Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 7th minute of play. Zé Vieira came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Tomas Berganza. But to his dismay, Tomas Berganza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 10 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Aguiar came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. Eliseu Dante, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amadeu Pontes during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 18 played minutes Inazuma Japan got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Pontes. In the 19th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Vieira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. In the 21stth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 22 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. The long shot by Eliseu Dante in the 23rd minute really tested Marcos Cotilla's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Inazuma Japan getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Rui Silva hit a great ball. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Caetano Fontes hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Isidoro Sarmiento scored 1-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Vieira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th match minute, Inazuma Japan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedé Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Cambeiro during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The long shot by Caetano Fontes in the 38th minute really tested Marcos Cotilla's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Zé Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. In the 59th minute, Hortêncio Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inazuma Japan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Zé Vieira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Isidoro Sarmiento showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 62 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Silva in the 66th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Panama's Aaron Barrios seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aaron Barrios the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Panama protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aaron Barrios had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Panama:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Inazuma Japan:s goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Panama's Miguel Miralles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zé Vieira. That made the score 2-4 after 75 minutes of play. In the 78th minute, Antônio Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Panama's Abraham Alguacil tried to score from far away in the 81st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Vieira having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
